Prime Minister Tony Abbott has again refused to rule out cutting the Age Pension in Question Time today, for the third time this year.
Today he was asked:
“Given the PM ruled out scrapping his $5.5 billion scheme in Question Time to 27th February, will the PM give senior Australians the same certainty and rule out any cuts to the aged pension?”
In Parliament on the 25th February the Prime Minister was asked:
“Does the Prime Minister think it is fair to cut the Age Pension while at the same time paying $75,000 to wealthy women to have a baby under the Prime Minister’s Paid Parental Leave Scheme?”

A day earlier, on 24th February Mr Abbott was asked:

“Will the Prime Minister rule out any changes to the pension as a result of the Commission of Audit?”

On each and every occasion Tony Abbott has refused to rule out cutting the Age Pension.
This has left retirees across Australia uncertain about whether their pension is going to be cut.
The Prime Minister must rule out any cuts to the age pension immediately.

Labor will not support savage cuts to age pensioners so Tony Abbott can plug holes in his unaffordable $5.5 billion paid parental leave scheme.
