Mass indoctrination of the population.

I think it is a contradiction in terms when certain sections of the media start talking about Government attacking freedom of speech by changing Legislation in the normal process of Governing, when you have Media Moguls influencing directly and indirectly the political leanings of a Newspaper, Radio or TV Network, like employing political bias Radio talk-back “shock jocks” or reporters for example to suit there own aims it is laughable. They are not broadcasting a balanced view, when they have the money and the means to have their own political ideals broadcast instead. Using political bias “shock jocks” it hinders freedom of speech, sometimes people who have an opposite view of an issue being discussed, are reluctant to phone up for fear of being ridiculed or condemned, even after they hang-up the phone, in away it is a form of mass indoctrination of the population to a certain view or idea.

They are trying to change the political direction of the Government by manipulating public opinion and after reading old articles of “THE WORKER” nothing has changed, it has been going on for well over a 120 years. So when I hear some Media Mogul crying foul because Government is trying to make it more fairer, I say good, bring it on, there should be more of it, not less clip their wings!

In a Democracy it is good and fine to have a privately owned mass media but they also have the responsibility to just report the news as balanced and accurately as possible and not put there own personal slant on it, let the Australian people make there own mind up on an issue. Just report the news as is, is that so difficult?
